Holi, the festival of colours is celebrated in India in a very beautiful manner. The joy of people in the festival is unimaginable. In holi people play with different colours and water balloons and throw them at the other person. I don’t think that there is a single Indian in this world that does not celebrate Holi. My friends made my face like that as my mom couldn’t even imagine.

In Holi my mother and grandmother make gujjiyas (Indian sweet), namakpare and matthi on Holi which are very delicious. The preparations of Holi starts early because there are so many things to do on Holi like we have to buy the colours, ballons and the things which are needed to make gujjiyas and other things.

Holi is celebrated to mark the love between Radha and Krishna, it is also celebrated as it marks the arrival of spring. The festival is characterized by vibrant colors, music, and communal gatherings, making it a joyous occasion.
