With the use of clinical bowling and high quality batting, RCB won this high scoring thriller match but 11 runs against RR who tried and played well but couldn’t convert their good performance into a win.
The turning point of the match was the spell of Josh Hazlewood as he took 4 wickets and only gave 33 runs in his whole 4 overs. He is also holding the purple cap as he has took the most wickets in IPL 2025 till now. Yashaswi Jaiswal and Nitish Rana played good innings but if they would have stayed longer on the pitch then RR would have won the match. Virat Kohli and Devdutt Padikkal also made half centuries to help RCB to get 200+.
RCB has faced RR 34 times, out of which RCB has won 17 and RR has won 14 with 3 matches having no result.
