WTC Final – Day 3 – SA vs AUS

A beautiful day in the lord’s cricket ground for South Africa as they made 213 runs at a loss of 2 wickets at the end of day 3 by stopping the Australian Team on 207 runs in their second innings. In the first innings of Australia, they got all out on 212 runs and in their second innings they made 207 runs. The highest scorer’s for the Australian Team were Steve Smith, Beau Webster, Alex Carey and Mitchell Starc, yes Mitchell Starc was the highest scorer for Australia in their second innings. South Africa just demolished the Australian Bowlers with the help of the captain Temba Bavuma and the centurion Aiden Markram. This was his 8th century and this could be the most important one.

At the end of Day 3 South Africa need 69 runs with 8 wickets in hand with the use of remaining 189 overs which is a lot.

The South African bowlers did a really good job by stopping Australia on 207 runs. The main bowlers for them were Kagiso Rabada who took 4 wickets and Lungi Ngidi who took 3 wickets. In the Australian bowling only 2 wickets got out and both were taken by Mitchell Starc.

As per now South Africa has a chance of 96.2 % of winning while Australia has a chance of 3.2 % winning and 0.6 % of chance of draw.

In between the match Temba Bavuma, the South African captain got a hamstring and was running very uncomfortably and Steve Smith got his finger displaced during he was catching the ball in the slip position.
