The Pareto Principle, also known as The 80/20 rule named after Vilfredo Pareto states that “80% of the results come from 20% of efforts”.
This principle is the most useful for students as in exams 80% of the paper comes from 20% of the syllabus. Otherwise, it helps in Business and Sales as 80% of the revenue could come from 20% of its customers, and it can help students also as 80% of the exam results could come from 20% of the syllabus for your exam. In Healthcare also 20% of the patients make 80% of healthcare expenses.
I applied this principle in my daily life by applying it in my exam study by focusing on the important topics of the syllabus and also learning the rest, this helped me as 70-80% of exam came from those important topics, That’s why this principle is very important and useful for students just like me.
I hope you all should apply this principle in life if you want 80% of the results in 20% of efforts.
80/20 is just a general guidance not a mathematical law, the ratio could be 70/30 or 90/10 also.
