Explainer – 3 – Hypotonic, Isotonic and Hypertonic

In the last Explainer We talked about the processes of Diffusion and Osmosis.

Today, The Three types of solution

Hypotonic Solution

When we go to a wedding, there is a variety of food and we overeat, similarly when a cell is placed in a salt, sugar or any other solution or even water, The Cell gets Swollen Up and gets filled with The solution or Water.

Isotonic Solution

When we eat at home we eat balanced diet, neither too much nor too less, similarly when a cell is placed in a Solution which has equal concentration to the cell, The Cell neither gets filled up or gets shrinked.

Hypertonic Solution

when we are on a fast or we are on a strict diet, we eat lesser amount of food than normal, similarly when a cell is placed in a Solution in which the cell has the higher concentration than the solution, so cell loses its content and gets Shrinked.
